Matters Arising
The minutes of the October AGM are agreed.
Notices of a fee to mend the surface of Arch Street have been sent to the leaseholders. This road is not exclusively used as an estate road for ABH; in fact, more people use it than they used to. Consequently, this seems like an unjust charge - why is it considered our responsibility? We have minutes from 2010 that prove we brought up the terrible state of the road in 2010. Helen Dennis has offered to look into this. CGS might partially fund repairs. Construction of the adjacent building is considered to be responsible.
ASB:
There’s been a spike in rough sleepers, drug dealing, and kids partying on the stairs. Mark and Steve have contacted the SNT on separate occasions. Kids with bikes have been seen in the building; people hide in the 2nd and 17th floors easily; the reinforced window on the 2nd has been broken.
Junior and Ulla have been removing kids from the stairwells almost daily. They have found blood-filled syringes on the stairwells, kids, and rough sleepers. 5 people were arrested after the police were called.
Elsa saw a group in front of the door buzzing all the flats to gain entry.
Somebody on the 3rd floor is thought to be selling drugs.
We are all looking for effective solutions to this - CCTV (it seems the Rockingham Estate has this outside), concierge? Perronet House have internal security doors. Should we approach the communication department at the council SASBU and contact Stephanie Cryan. Steve will raise the issues at a ward
