Tried to negotiate...
the day after I posted the above information on the whatsapp group, Chung removed Me, Jérémie Raude-Leroy from the ABH TRA whatsapp group explaining this :
I have sadly taken the decision to remove Jeremie from the TRA WhatsApp group I originally set up due to the repeated abuse and harassment he has caused to both Li and myself during and immediately after the recent TRA meeting on 28 May as witnessed by all of you who attended along with the 3 Council officers.
His uncivil comments (which he has not apologised for) both verbal and written have repeatedly brought disharmony to our volunteer TRA over the past few years and are a repeated breach of the TRA constitution set up by my predecessor Steve Smithson. Copy of constitution to follow.
Given the prevalence of ongoing ASB - antisocial behaviour and crime in our block, it is of utmost importance that we protect one another rather than cause anyone to feel threatened or unsafe in their homes or in the environs of our block. This was the reason why I set up the WhatsApp group originally as Vice-Chair of the TRA at the time with everyone’s informed consent to help us keep one another safe and communicate issues common to us all without causing further harm. Respect for one another is paramount even if we may not always agree with one another. Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support for our TRA. 🙏🕊️
The uncivil comments i made is that i said : "Li is into control"
Their conclusion on the website on the 28th of May 2024 minutes
My conclusion was to quit
Given that the Committee chose not to hold a vote and independently concluded that "Some residents prefer the immediacy nature of our WhatsApp group," it implies that they do not seek the opinions of others.
Some residents... how many ? 1, 2, 10, the majority ? We will never know... since no vote have been organized.
This serves as yet another instance demonstrating that the TRA (Tenants' and Residents' Association) is not managed with the broader community's interests in mind, but rather caters to specific, select interests.
